- Microsoft Active Accessibility
- Core System Backup Directory
-
- This directory contains copies of the original
- operating system files that existed before
- installation of an application which uses Microsoft
- Active Accessibility. This application replaced
- the original files with updated versions that
- supply needed functionality. Please note that
- uninstalling the application(s) which use Active
- Accessibility does not restore the original
- versions of the core operating system files. If
- you wish to completely restore your computer to its
- original state, you should copy these files to the
- Windows SYSTEM directory.
-
- Under normal conditions, there should be no need to
- restore these original versions, you should only
- do so under the direction of an experienced
- technician or Technical Support. Under no
- circumstances should you restore these files if you
- have installed a new version Windows 95. Doing so
- might render your machine inoperable. Only restore
- these files if you have reason to suspect that
- Active Accessibility is interfering with the normal
- operation of your computer.
-
- If you must restore these files, copy them to the
- \<WINDIR>\SYSTEM directory, where <WINDIR> is the
- directory that Windows 95 is installed to. By
- default, this directory is C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM. You
- must first exit Windows 95 to the MS-DOS prompt.
- Using a DOS box within Windows 95 will not work.
-
- For more information, contact Microsoft or your
- application vendor.
